Who We Are
LinkedCare is a clinical consortium providing mental health care services. We have worked together for almost a decade in both the public and private sector. LinkedCare was inspired by our years working in an in-patient Eating Disorders Unit, and the desire to translate the Multidisciplinary team (MDT) work we did to the private sector.
We believe in a holistic approach and work with individuals, families, groups, and institutions struggling with a variety of mental health challenges or seeking to promote mental health, marrying our different expertise as a MDT to give our clients value-based care.
Ms Anele Honono
Clinical Psychologist
I am a systems trained therapist who works using the integrative interpersonal approach. I find this perspective useful in thinking about patients that work with, regardless of the symptom presentation. I am a strong believer in that the way in which we relate to the people and systems around us and how these inversely impact on each other has a huge influence on our mental health and general wellbeing. I am also very interested in thinking about transformation and race relations given South Africa’s history and the undeniable impact it continues to play in our daily interactions and experiences.

Experience:
Clinical psychologist with diverse experience in mental health care in public and private health care. Currently in private practice working with adolescent and adult patients. Worked in Tara hospital from 2015-2022, in the adult out-patient clinic, female adult biochemical ward, and in the eating disorders unit. Between 2015 and 2020 I also worked on the adolescent in-patient unit.

Mrs Elrika Hugo
Social Worker
I have a deep passion for my profession as a social worker. I believe in the importance of using a holistic approach to treatment because as individuals we are influenced by many systems. I believe that creating awareness on how these systems impact our daily functioning will contribute to a better understanding of who we are and who we want to be. I have a special interest in working with parents, guiding them to improve communication amongst themselves and their children, exploring dynamics that create barriers as well as reflecting on generational cycles that may impact one’s mental health.
Qualification:
Bachelors in Social Work (Cum Laude)- Degree obtained from the North West University in 2012.

Practising as a Social Worker:
Currently in private practice. Worked in an in-patient Eating Disorders unit for the Department of Health from 2014-2022. I have experience in working with adults/adolescents with different mental health diagnosis, I also have experience in working in a psychotherapy unit -using DBT as the main treatment modality. Services rendered as a Mental Health professional include work with families, parents, couples, and individuals. Previous experience includes practising in statutory services through a child protection organisation as well as experience in Early Childhood Development Programmes through the Department of Social Development.

I am a HAES-informed, non-diet practitioner offering services from a weight-inclusive lens. My experience has taught me that the road to recovery requires a balanced approach to achieve holistic healing. The concept of health holds different meanings for each of us as individuals. I believe that all foods can fit into a balanced, healthful and moderate eating pattern. Each of us has the potential to rebuild our relationship with food and reconnect with our body, discovering what ‘healthy’ actually means for us.
I am passionate about empowering, guiding and supporting individuals along their journey of healing and rediscovery of a healthy, trusting relationship with food and body. This involves walking the journey alongside you to cultivate nourishing behaviours, build self-compassion and inner confidence. This enables you to define your own path of health and healing. In turn, becoming empowered to build a meaningful life and enhance your overall wellbeing.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Dietetics from the University of Pretoria (UP) 2007.
Dietitian:
Diverse experience in nutrition and mental health over the past 12 years. Currently in private practice. Worked at Tara Hospital from 2010-2022 rendering dietetics services with a particular focus on the Eating Disorders Unit. My experience includes mental health nutrition for adults, adolescents and children in both inpatient and outpatient settings. I have a special interest in eating disorders, disordered eating, emotional eating and other feeding and eating challenges. In addition, I have experience working in a psychotherapy unit where Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) is the main treatment modality.
